Kidney stones, nephrotic syndrome and polycystic kidney disease (PCKD) each involve a disturbance in Quwwat-e-Kulliya (renal vitality) and the body’s filtration mechanisms. Recurrent stone formers, in particular, often have an underlying dietary or metabolic pattern that keeps regenerating stones even after they are removed or passed.
